👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The 13 Travellers

Three generations in two cars — ages 1 to 74. One family member has a heart condition, so the whole route avoids high altitude and strenuous climbs, and every drive is followed by a full rest day.

❄️☀️ Seasonal Strategy

Why this order works

Nov 20 – Dec 6 (early winter) → UP → Uttarakhand → Delhi → Punjab. Pleasant, pre-peak cold for the plains, foothills and the capital.

Dec 7 – Jan 10 (peak winter) → Rajasthan → Gujarat → MP. The desert states at their absolute best — Rann Utsav in full swing, New Year at Somnath, cool Jyotirlinga darshans.

Jan 11 – Feb 18 → Maharashtra → Goa → Karnataka → Kerala → Tamil Nadu. The west coast and deep south in their prime beach-and-backwater season.

Feb 19 – Mar 19 → AP → Telangana → Chhattisgarh → Odisha → West Bengal → Sikkim. East India before the heat builds; Darjeeling/Gangtok in crisp spring air.

Mar 20 – Apr 11 (Northeast spring) → Assam → Arunachal (Dirang/Bomdila) → Meghalaya → home. Kaziranga safaris still open, orchids blooming, waterfalls ahead of the monsoon — then an easy four-day ride back to Amnour.

👴❤️ Designed for elderly & heart-safe travel

Every stop follows the same rhythm: one dedicated travel day (drive → check-in → rest, no sightseeing), then one or more full tour days with no city-to-city driving. High-altitude legs are gone — Himachal, Nainital, Lachung/Nathula and Tawang/Sela Pass were all replaced with Mussoorie, Gangtok/Pelling and Dirang/Bomdila, so no overnight stop exceeds ~2,150 m. Steep treks (like the living-root-bridge stairs) are skipped, long drives are split with transit halts, and the medical file travels in the car.

🚙 Group, Vehicle & Logistics Notes

🚗 Vehicles & Seating

1× Diesel Seltos (5-seater) + 1× Diesel 7XO (7-seater), both manual, ~15 km/l each. 12 seats for 13 travellers — 11 seated, with the two toddlers (2 & 1) on child seats/laps. Both cars carry roof carriages for the 144 days of luggage.

🧑‍✈️ Drivers

Four licensed adult drivers (Abhishek, Vivek, Anubhuti, Rahul) — two per car, rotating on the long Rajasthan and Northeast stretches. No drive exceeds ~500 km, and every long drive is followed by a rest day.

❤️ Heart-Care Kit

Doctor's clearance before departure; full medical file + prescriptions in the car; 150-day medicine stock (plus buffer); BP monitor and pulse oximeter; a list of cardiac hospitals for every overnight city; and no strenuous climbs anywhere on the route.

👴👶 Elderly & Infants

Medical kit, medication buffer, two child car seats, diaper/formula stock — restock in big cities (Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Guwahati) before remote legs like Bastar and Arunachal.

📄 Permits

Inner Line Permit (ILP) mandatory for Arunachal Pradesh — apply well in advance. No special North Sikkim permit needed, as the itinerary stays in Gangtok/Pelling.

🧥 Warm Layers

Jackets and thermals for everyone — December nights in Rajasthan/Kutch, and the Darjeeling–Sikkim–Arunachal stretch in March still gets cold evenings at altitude.
